Currently, the majority party in Congress can elect all the Congressional leaders, and maintain strong control over the legislative processes, without much accountability to Congressional representatives outside their own party. Ranked choice voting results in the election of Congressional leaders who have strong support in <i>either<\/i> party or have broad <i>nonpartisan<\/i> support.
